Our partnership with CMHA Niagara started after our partnership with York and South Simcoe. We've been working with the Niagara Region since November 30th 2021. We are also still actively running this campaign! Again we are running things a little bit slower than usual, in an effort to ensure the safety of our staff and our customers during the current wave of COVID-19. We plan to promote this fundraiser more intensely as soon as it is safe to do so.
For the Niagara Region, we've had the pleasure of working with Karen who is the Communications and Revenue Development Coordinator, and her team. She's always stopping by the events to say hello, and gather content for their social media platforms. We are so appreciative of her involvement and commitment to our partnership, as well as her passion for Mental Health as a whole. As mentioned previously, we are very grateful for this partnership. It has given our team insight into all that CMHA does; not only on a large scale nationally, but also into how they break that down on a smaller scale by offering targeted programs and services within individual regions. It's a perfect example of how divided efforts work together to build success on a united front.
Our "Mental Health Matters" collection is currently active, and can be picked up in person at one of our pop-up events. If you're in the area and would like to know where we are this week, reach out to us via our contact page and we'll get back to you within a few hours. It can also be purchased in the "Shop" section of or website when it is active.
It is a known statistic that in any given year, 1 in 5 people in Canada will personally experience a mental health problem or illness. One of the top reasons that we inquired about working with CMHA this season was due to the current struggles we are all facing as a collective. With the on-going Covid-19 pandemic, many people are feeling increased levels of stress, anxiety, worry, loneliness & isolation. As always, we are honoured to be a part of the fundraising team for CMHA Niagara. We know they do their best to support their community, and we're always happy to help wherever we can.
If you'd like more information or would like to make a donation to CMHA Niagara directly, we encourage you to visit their website.
If you would like to make a donation within your own community, we advise that research which CMHA operates within your region and make a donation there. You can also make a donation to CMHA National on their website.
